Capmont’s portfolio company Brick Group acquires Lodewick Group, strengthening its nationwide technical building equipment and energy renovation footprint

Capmont announces the acquisition of Lodewick Group (Lodewick GmbH and Lodewick Concept Crew GmbH, “Lodewick” or “the Company”), one of Lower Saxony’s most established specialists for technical building equipment (“TGA”), as an add-on acquisition for Brick Group (“Brick” or “the Group”), a German energy renovation services platform.

Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Herzberg am Harz, Lodewick is a third-generation, family-led specialist for technical building equipment, including heating, ventilation, plumbing as well as cooling and air-conditioning technology, complemented by technical consulting, project planning, maintenance and service. The Company employs approximately 80 people and executes blue-chip projects across Germany for commercial, public-sector and healthcare clients, serving its customers with long-standing framework and service contracts. With a branch near Berlin, Lodewick combines a strong regional anchor in Lower Saxony with active project delivery into the Berlin and Brandenburg metropolitan area. Lodewick marks the second addition to Brick and further extends the Group’s technical capabilities, customer access and geographic footprint. Lodewick GmbH bad & heizung is excluded from the transaction and will remain wholly owned by Jan Lodewick. The transaction was signed and closed in May 2026.

“It is with great pride that I see the company my family founded more than 70 years ago entering its next chapter together with Brick,” says Jan Lodewick, who will remain Managing Director of the companies acquired by Brick. “Brick is the right partner to continue our tradition of technical excellence and to grow the business together with our customers and employees. I am looking forward to participating in the Group’s success in the years to come.” Lodewick will be integrated into the Group while retaining its company name, headquarters, brand identity and employees.

“Lodewick is highly accretive and brings exactly the technical building services backbone critical for further scaling our platform into a one-stop-shop provider for energy renovation and modernization,” says Dirk Hollands, Managing Director at Brick. “Heating, ventilation, sanitary and air-conditioning works are core features of every meaningful energy renovation. With Jan Lodewick and his team, we not only gain deep technical expertise but also foster a culture of operational excellence. Moreover, Lodewick comes with well-established customer trust built over decades and a strong pipeline of new, highly qualified talent — a critical asset given the persistent skilled labor shortage in our sector. Lodewick is a perfect strategic and cultural fit for Brick and an excellent next step in our buy-and-build journey.”

Brick was founded by Capmont together with Dirk Hollands to build a market leader in German energy renovation services via a buy-and-build strategy. With the acquisition of Tank & Becker in January 2024 and now Lodewick, Brick covers complementary segments along the building renovation value chain from coordination and execution of renovation projects to the technical services that determine the energy efficiency of a building and today employs more than 200 people. Combined with Tank & Becker's established footprint in the Hamburg and Berlin metropolitan areas, the addition of Lodewick substantially extends Brick's regional reach across Germany.
